Where's the Action? Finding Your Tribe on Wplace.live

Wplace.live is, at its core, a game about community. Creating art alone is possible, but participating in a massive project with hundreds of other players is where the real magic happens. But where do you find these groups?

🌐

1. Discord: The Headquarters

Discord is the main organizational hub for almost all factions and communities on Wplace.live.

  • Official and Fan Servers: Look for invitation links to the official Wplace.live server (if one exists) or to the servers of large communities. These links are often shared in the game itself, on Twitch streams, or on other social networks.
  • Dedicated Channels: Inside a server, you will find channels for everything: `#planning` to discuss new designs, `#diplomacy` to negotiate with other groups, and voice channels for real-time coordination during events or attacks.
  • Why Discord? It's fast, organized, and allows for easy distribution of templates (like the ones you create with the wPlace Lab converter) and voice coordination.

  • 2. Reddit: The Public Square

    🤖

The Subreddit dedicated to Wplace.live functions as the community's public square.

  • Recruitment: It's a great place to find posts from communities looking for new members. Keep an eye on pinned threads or "Recruitment" flairs.
  • Art Showcase: Communities post their finished creations on Reddit to gain visibility and celebrate their achievements.
  • Discussions and Memes: This is where the game's culture lives. You'll find discussions about server "lore," alliances, rivalries, and lots of memes.

  • 3. Other Platforms

  • Facebook and Twitter/X: Groups and pages dedicated to Wplace.live also exist on these platforms. Although less used for real-time organization, they are good for finding news, art, and links to the main Discord groups.
  • Twitch and YouTube: Many players and community leaders live-stream their drawing sessions. Watching these streams is a great way to understand a group's dynamics, and Discord links are usually in the description.

  • Tips for Joining a Group

    1. Observe First: Before actively joining, spend some time observing how the group communicates and organizes itself.

    2. Be Respectful: Follow the group's rules and be a good teammate.

    3. Contribute: Even if it's just placing a few pixels a day, all help is welcome.

    4. Use the Right Tools: Having the wPlace Lab tools to understand templates and plan your art will make you a much more valuable member of the team.

    🤝

Finding the right community can completely transform your Wplace.live experience, from a solitary pastime to an exciting collaborative adventure.
